When booking a bow hunt, it is important to book with a professional outfitter who fully understands the art of bow hunting. Wind direction, stand placement, the lay of the land, scouting, and knowing how to read signs all produce opportunities for our hunters. The art of bow hunting is learned through countless hours and years of trial and error. Our seasoned guides understand bow hunting and have been immersed in it their whole lives, taught by fathers and grandfathers. We understand bow hunting! The Archery rut hunt is a seeking and chasing phase hunt. During this phase, bucks will start checking the does' scent and chase them aggressively. Find the does now, and you'll be more likely to find the bucks. Each season, many of our hunters report seeing multiple shooter bucks chasing a single hot doe during this hunt. Younger bucks will travel the more prominent deer trails from doe area to doe area. Mature bucks will still follow heavier cover between doe areas (creek bottoms, ditches, strips of thick cover). Premier Outfitters guides will find these areas and have a stand set waiting for you.
At Premier Outfitters, unlike some outfitters, our guides will always transport you to and from your stand locations using Premier Outfitters vehicles. Make sure you are in the stand and ready for your hunt before leaving the area. Our guides are just a text away to answer any questions or concerns you may have while on the stand, and we will always be happy to share your hunt experience and go over the hunt game plan for the next day while back at camp. Finally, we provide field dressing and capping of your harvest to offer you the complete adventure. We want you our hunter to have a great experience, when you hunt with us all you have to do is hunt we will take care of the rest.
Quota
For this hunt, you'll be allowed to harvest a Buck with a minimum of 5-inch H1 mass measurement or better and a doe.
To help educate you on how to judge a buck on the hoof, all of our hunters receive a series of email newsletters starting with a Spring newsletter in May, followed by a Summer newsletter, ending with your hunt itinerary newsletter. The newsletters contain important and informative information about your booked hunt that includes websites to visit; these websites will explain how to judge mature bucks on the hoof with comparisons that are illustrated.
The hunt itinerary email will be emailed to each hunter approximately 30 days prior to their hunt. The itinerary will cover what hunting license and deer permit to purchase, lodge address,check in and check out date and times,,a checklist of things to bring on your hunt and a brief description of what to expect during your stay.
THERE WILL BE A FINE OF $1500.00 IMPOSED FOR ANY BUCK HARVESTED UNDER OUR POSTED REQUIREMENTS. PAYABLE IMMEDIATELY. NO EXCEPTIONS. THIS FINE WILL BE DOUBLED TO $3000 ON THE LAST DAY OF THE HUNT.
